Sunday, October 25th at 1:30 PM Barrett will be performing in a reading of LARAMIE 10 YEARS LATER - AN EPILOGUE by Tectonic Theatre Project. The all-star cast also features: Zach Quinto, James Cromwell, Lisa Edlestein, Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Pauley Perrette, Julie Benz, Christian Clemenson, and Helen Schaeffer. Directed by Jillian Armenante. The reading will be presented at the Hollywood United Methodist Church (6817 Franklin Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90028). The performance will be followed by a speech from Judy Shepard (mother to Matthew Shepard). The Tectonic Theatre Project has granted special rights to do the reading as a benefit, with all proceeds going to the Matthew Shepard Foundation. LARAMIE 10 YEARS LATER – AN EPILOGUE is a sequel to the THE LARAMIE PROJECT, which first premiered February 2000 at the Ricketson Theatre in Denver, Colorado. The ensemble play is performed with actors playing multiple roles as residents of Laramie and members of the Tectonic Theatre Project – based on real interviews with Laramie residents, describing in great detail the days and months following the murder of Matthew Shepard. The sequel picks up ten years later. The attitudes and the events that have transpired over those ten years is quite shocking.
