AVENUE Q Swings! October 3, 2005
Barrett performed "Everyone's A Little Bit Racist" (in 5/4 time signature) with Laura Marie Duncan and solo samba version of "Mix Tape" at an encore presentation of AVENUE Q Swings! which featured the Tony-winning Avenue Q score performed in jazz, classical and "other surprising arrangements." The concert benefited the Jazz Foundation of America and the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic, both of which have been helping musicians affected by Hurricane Katrina. Read more...

OGEAR Fashion Show September 26, 2005
Barrett modeled t-shirts from the OGEAR clothing line at a fashion show in Planet Hollywood where a new Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS t-shirt designed by OGEAR was unveiled. All proceeds from the new T-shirt will go to BC/EFA. Read more...

Broadway's Celebrity Benefit for Hurricane Relief September 25, 2005
Barrett (with Princeton) and the cast of AVENUE Q performed "For Now" at the one-night-only star-studded event at the Gershwin Theatre. The concert, produced by the company of WICKED, raised over $200,000 for Second Harvest and Quilts for Kids, two organizations working directly with the Katrina victims. Read more...

19th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition April 18-19, 2005
Barrett and Rod from AVENUE Q acted as hosts for the Easter Bonnet Competition with Christopher Sieber (on April 18) and David Hyde Pierce (on April 19). The special two-day annual event, benefiting Broadway Cares, is the culmination of six intensive weeks of fundraising efforts by Broadway and Off-Broadway company members as well as numerous productions currently on national tour. Barrett (with Nicky) and the cast of AVENUE Q performed "For Now" at the Our Time Third Annual Benefit Gala honoring AVENUE Q choreographer Ken Roberson. Our Time is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing an artistic home for young people who stutter.
